LA CRESTA LIVE/WORK

La Cresta, mixed use, live-work

Live/Work dwellings do not always live up to their name. Often, an architect will create a large, unfinished space and call it "loft" and be done with it. The "living" and the "working" are not defined - eventually the user will move their live and/or work space elsewhere.

In this project, the first two levels are commercial. The two-level live/work units comprise the second and third floors of the building; each unit has its own business entry on the second floor, and its own dwelling entry on the third floor. Clients use a public elevator to access the second floor lobby, while residents use a private elevator to access the residences. The remaining levels are strictly residential.

Each unit was designed with at least one corner window to take advantage of the stunning views of Balboa Park, downtown San Diego, and gorgeous sunsets.
